Ruth I. Bradshaw graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University Law
School with her J.D. degree in 2006. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Family
and Child Development and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she
graduated magna cum laude in 1998.
She was licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 2006. She joined Davis & Harwell
early in 2007 after beginning her practice in Carrboro, N.C.
In 2004-2005, while attending law school, Ms. Bradshaw served as Case Manager for
the NCCU School of Law Innocence Project. She currently volunteers as a supervising
attorney for the Wake Forest University School of Law Innocence Project.
In 2005-2006, Ms. Bradshaw served as secretary of NCCU School of Law Moot Court
Board and was recognized for legal writing skills in the 2005 Ernest Fullwood Moot
Court Competition. She was also a semi-finalist in the Immigration Law Moot Court
Competition held at New York University Law School in February 2006.
Ms. Bradshaw is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and serves
on the Academy’s Appeals Monitor Committee. She is also a member of the North Carolina
Bar Association and Forsyth County Bar Association.
She has experience in family law matters as well as real estate, employment law,
estate planning, and civil litigation.
Her practice at Davis & Harwell is concentrated in family law.
